Jon Byrd

Jon Byrd -
8:00 pm
In the 1990s Byrd became a central figure in Atlanta's infamous Redneck Underground movement as lead guitarist for the seminal and storied country band Slim Chance and the Convicts (Letters to Mama, 1993, and Twang Peaks, 1996). That same year, Byrd relocated to Nashville and he has quickly made a name for himself in Music City as talented country singer and Telecaster slinger recording with such fine country and alternative country artists as the dangerously soulful Davis Raines and his Faders, the late Texas country singer Buck Jones, extraordinary folk-rock songwriter Stephen Simmons, and the rockabilly whirlwind Suzette and her Neon Angels. His solo debut Jon Byrd’s Auto Parts has earned the Triple Crown of music reviews with kudos from Music Row’s Robert K. Oermann, No Depression and most recently Great Britain’s prestigious MOJO magazine.

NightBird
|
NightBird -
8:30 pm
Nightbird began with Penny Dale, a GA native and Andi Zack who is originally from British Columbia, Canada. While pursuing individual artist/songwriting careers in Nashville, the two met and quickly hit it off as friends and co-writers. They discovered that they shared a similar style and a knack for writing and performing together, and soon formed a vocal group. Ryan Mims, from Alabama, joined shortly after, adding to the chemistry, and The band was complete with guitarist/vocalist Levi Sims, a Louisiana native.
Each voice and persona add something unique to the mix, and together their intricate four part harmonies are reminiscent of the best that have come before, but also new and very much their own.

Marjory Lee is a folk-rock/ Americana singer-songwriter who writes with a little bit of kick to make you shake your groove thing. Her music gravitates to a clean-cut take on Sheryl Crow and Liz Phair with a little bit of upbeat fun. She is graduating from Belmont University August 8th and will be continuing to pursue music. Crystal Marie Sands “I’ve done my homework,” she says, “and I am fully aware of how difficult it is to break into this business. I also know that the number of artists who make it to radio is very small. But, although I will always keep working towards that superstar dream, I will be quite content if I am able to make a living with my music. Fame would be nice, but I’ll settle for longevity.” The enduringly great Leona Williams is singing the songs of the enduringly great Merle Haggard. Leona Williams Sings Merle Haggard finds this sublimely country vocalist reinterpreting the Hag’s catalog beautifully. Wood Newton In July 2007, Wood formed Ah-Ha Music with Clarence and Corene Schwab. As songwriter Wood has written some of country music’s biggest hits, "Bobbie Sue" for the Oak Ridge Boys, “Twenty Years Ago" for Kenny Rogers, and “Riding with Private Malone” which he co-wrote, and produced for David Ball.
